More Information:This special exhibition presents, for the first time, the museum’s entire collection of Western art, including works on loan, in celebration of the 70th anniversary of Izumi City. Although it was originally established as a specialist museum of Asian antique art, it has also developed a renowned collection of Western art. Since the opening of its new wing in 1997, the museum has maintained a permanent gallery dedicated to Western art, making it one of the few places in Osaka providing opportunities to enjoy such pieces throughout the year. This exhibition offers a rare opportunity to fully appreciate works by popular masters, such as Monet, Renoir, and Van Gogh.
