More Information：Photographer Masashi Asada won the Kimura Ihei Photography Award for his photo book *The Asada Family*, which features his own family. He is one of the most highly regarded photographers today, active in the world of commercial photography while also organizing art projects and exhibitions throughout Japan. enoco is pleased to present “Masashi Asada × Osaka Prefecture 20th-Century Art Collection: Exclusive Stories of Painters and Their Families,” an exhibition that seeks to connect the themes of “family” and “personal history”—which Masashi Asada has consistently explored in his work—with works from the “Osaka Prefecture 20th-Century Art Collection” assembled by Osaka Prefecture.
The core of the Osaka Prefecture collection consists of works by artists who were active in the Kansai region after World War II. From this collection, four painters have been selected, and photographer Masashi Asada delves into the private sides of these artists—aspects known only to their families—rather than their so-called “public” personas.
