This is a special exhibition that looks back on 20th-century art, focusing on postwar American art from the collection of the Ohara Museum of Art. But it’s not just an exhibition of masterpieces. With a wide variety of works, including Mark Rothko’s Untitled (Green on Green), Andy Warhol’s Marilyn Monroe, Yves Klein’s Blue Venus, and the Yakushi Nyorai Statue in the Kosetsu museum’s collection, this project attempts to approach the essence of 20th-century art.
Touch with your eyes, see with your heart. Please take your time and enjoy the exhibition.
