Kyogen performer Hiroki Masuda, a member of the Shigeyama Sengoro family of the Okura school, presents a performance of the major piece Tsurikitsune.
This performance marks a milestone in his career as a kyogen performer, and is said to be the true start of his career as a kyogen performer. This special play will be performed in Osaka, where he was born and brought up. The cast includes Shigeyama Shime , a living national treasure, and Sengoro Shigeyama, the head of the Sengoro family, making for an all-star cast of the Shigeyama family.
Surprisingly, there are no other kyogen troupes based in Osaka, so this is a rare opportunity to see a performance of Tsurikitsune in Osaka.
