More Information：Bunraku is a traditional Japanese puppet theatre where the narrator(tayu), the shamisen player, and the puppeteers come together to create a unified performance.It is one of Japan’s representative traditional performing arts and is registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
At the Tempozan Marketplace, located near Kaiyu-kan, you can experience an explanation of Bunraku (the roles of the Tayū narrator, shamisen player, and puppeteer) and how to operate a Bunraku puppet. You will also have the chance to see Bunraku play- “SAMBASO”
