More Information：We will be hosting “Drift & Nest,” the first solo exhibition by wood artist Rie Ito, at e/n gallery in Nakanoshima, Osaka, from Wednesday, October 7, 2026, through Saturday, October 17, 2026.
This exhibition features a variety of wooden vessels that differ in material, craftsmanship, size, and shape, including the “hanging sculptures” titled *Drift*—spindle-shaped pieces crafted on a lathe from fragrant woods such as hinoki cypress and camphor wood—and the palm-sized “functional vessels” titled *nest*, which are beautiful whether arranged side by side or stacked.
Craftsmanship and form; use and contemplation. This exhibition explores the journey wood takes to reach our daily lives, moving back and forth across the boundaries between these concepts.
