Yoshiko Naragino, “Arubeki Youwa, Muko no Yama”

Yoshiko Naragino is an artist who creates works made from pottery with the theme of “expressing gorgeousness, abundance, and joy overflowing with vitality.” She has her studio in Kitakagaya and works there every day.

Arubekiyouwa, Muko no Yama (“Mt. Muko, as it Should Be”) was first presented at Rokko Meets Art 2017. After its permanent exhibition in Kitakagaya was decided, the work was assembled at the Suminoe Art Beat 2021 event held on November 14, 2021, providing many visitors with the opportunity to learn about the process of creating art. The landscapes, events, and animals that float in the artist’s imagination are incorporated into the ceramics in a painted manner, and the entire work is colored in soft tones.
