In 1931, to commemorate Emperor Hirohito\u2019s enthronement, Osaka Castle underwent a renewal. Using funds donated by the public (1.5 million yen at the time), the Main Tower was reconstructed, Osaka Castle Park was opened, and the military headquarters of the 4th Division of the Imperial Japanese Army was built.<\/p>\r\n
