OSAKA NOH FESTA

The Kanze School of Noh was developed by Kan'ami and Zeami, famous performers who completed the current form of Noh, in the Muromachi period (1300s A.D.) and has been passed down through the generations for approximately 700 years. Led by the 26th head of the Soke Kiyokazu Kanze, the noh theaters in Osaka will join to introduce the art of noh to visitors from Japan and overseas in preparation for the Expo 2025, Osaka, Kansai. With the “Noh Boat Performance” as a symbol of Aqua Metropolis Osaka, we provide opportunities for visitors to experience noh performances in various forms.
